This is the third novel in the Heven and Hell trilogy, by Cambria Hebert, which is an incredible series that is not to be missed!  I have read the first book, Masquerade, and will be getting to the second one, Charade, as soon as I possibly can!  The main characters in the series are Heven, who has been disfigured in a strange accident, and Sam, the mysterious new boy in school who helps her, and with whom she ends up falling in love.  Sam is not quite what he seems, however, and Heven eventually finds out just what manner of supernatural creature he is.

The cover of Tirade pictures a new character, Riley. That face looks so eerie...those eyes are pretty scary! It looks like he's the new villain in this enthralling saga...

Goodreads Synopsis

Betrayal burns. Death hurts and the clock ticks…

Minutes and hours stretch into days. How long can Sam survive being confined in Hell? I have a plan… a plan with a lot of holes. I need someone who can make up for my weaknesses, someone who possesses the power that I lack. Riley is supposed to be off limits. He’s dangerous, he’s mean and he’s not to be trusted. But I do.

Beelzebub is on a tirade, bent on revenge. I took what he wants and sent him into the flames. I will wear the scars of his punishments forever. But scars don’t scare me anymore.

On my way to free Sam I find my true path, a secret place and new allies. But in Hell nothing is easy… and everything is cruel. The only thing left to do is survive.

Wow...doesn't this sound just
incredibly awesome?
And I have to wait three months

Well, meanwhile,
I can comfort myself with
the book trailer, which I'm posting

Here's another picture of Riley!
He sure looks like bad news, doesn't he?

  4. Maria - Your posts have so many great attributes. I agree that these is that they are visually stunning!

This sounds like a great series. One interesting point is that one of the main characters is disfigured. Sometimes, and this is not only confined to this genre, authors feel the need to portray all of their characters as looking like movie stars. A different direction is refreshing.

  5. Hey, Brian!

Oh, thank you so much for such a GREAT compliment!! I pride myself on making my posts as visually appealing as possible. I don't like visually boring posts! Of course, the content has to be appealing, as well, but without viausl appeal, I don't think it's worth it. Not everybody agrees. There are bloggers who think that all of this visual input is so much clutter and distraction. Well, I beg to differ! My blog is my creative outlet, and that includes its design! The only elements of the total look I can't claim credit for are the header, and this blog's buttons. Those were created by Jenn @ Sapphire Blog Designs. (See my sidebar.) Everything else, I designed. And I made sure to use my favorite color as much as possible! (You know what color that is...lol.)

As for this series, I can attest that it's an entirely addictive one, if you enjoy reading the young adult genre, as well as paranormal romance, which I do! The fact that Heven is disfigured reminds me of The Phantom of the Opera, except that, in this case, it's a female instead of a male who suffers from this unfortunate reality.

I have reviewed the first book, "Masquerade", which I LOVED!! I have to go on to the second one, "Charade", and then "Tirade" will be out at the end of November! I'm really looking forward to that!!

Thanks for another SUPER nice comment!! : )
